Just in time for the the holidays… a story of hope. They were just kids… until they changed the world!
Based on the historic 1899 Newsboys Strike, the story follows a ragtag group of youth newspaper sellers in New York City. When powerful newspaper publishers—led by Joseph Pulitzer of The World—hike the wholesale price that newsies have to pay for papers, charismatic leader Jack Kelly rallies his fellow street kids to organize a union and go on strike. Alongside aspiring reporter Katherine Plummer, the young workers fight back against corporate greed and discover the strength of standing together.
