Welcome to Web Developer Coding Bootcamp brought to you in partnership with Fiero Code and Community Library.
Cost is free. Registration is required.
Computers will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own device. We will be using Fiero Code, and you can access this ahead by visiting our website!
Goal: In this bootcamp you will go from knowing nothing about coding to being able to apply for an entry level web developer position. What’s a web developer?

The library will host a weekly bootcamp meeting on Thursdays from 6:30 - 7:30pm.
These weekly meetings are vital to your success as a bootcamp student. As you gather at the library with your cohorts, you’ll have a chance to:
Additionally, you’ll be expected to spend 2-3 hours per week on Fiero Code from home. These hours can be done on your own schedule.
Between the in-person meetings and your out-of-classroom time, you will cover the content and learn the skills needed to begin applying for entry-level web developer jobs!
What is Fiero Code?
Fiero Code is a learn-to-code platform that’s helping people unlock a hopeful future as they learn how to code. It’s a web-based gamified platform that will teach you everything you need to know to get a web developer job. Through interactive lessons and video tutorials, you’ll be coding in no time!
Fiero is made available to you at no charge through the partnership with Community Library.
Once you create an account and log into Fiero Code, you will work through the course syllabus at your own pace.
Tips to Succeed
1. At the beginning of the bootcamp, take 15 minutes and answer the question “How would my life be better if I got a web developer job?”
2. Set regular weekly times for the out-of-classroom work hours (e.g. Mondays and Tuesdays from 7-9).
3. When you get stuck DON’T GIVE UP! You have the support of your cohort to work through those issues.
4. Be the cohort member you’d want in your cohort. If you want others to encourage and support you, encourage and support them! You’re in it together.
5. Use ChatGPT (or your AI tool of choice) as a support. Coding is one of the things AI does really well!
