Gain insight into 7 different art mediums over the span of 8 weeks!
During this 8 week long series, participants ages 10-18 will be able to explore 7 different art mediums. Each week will focus on a different medium, ending the 8th week with an open art day using all the supplies from the previous weeks. During each program, the participants will be presented with a brief history, shown examples of artwork done by well known artists, and taught different techniques for each medium. During the second half of each program, the participants will be able to collaborate with each other to better understand each art medium and build off of each other's creativity. The participants will learn about oil pastels, collages, charcoal, chalk, clay, watercolors, and acrylics. This program will provide a creative and collaborative environment for participants to explore new art mediums with their fellow art enthusiasts. This program is supported by the State Library of Ohio with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
